In December 2025, China's organic silicon industry achieved significant progress in high-end material research and development, talent cultivation, and achievement transformation through collaborative innovation between industry, academia, and research, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the industry.
School enterprise cooperation: jointly building laboratories to crack the bottleneck technology
On December 23rd, the School of Materials and Chemical Engineering at Hangzhou Normal University signed a cooperation agreement with Hubei Longsheng Sihai New Materials Co., Ltd. to jointly establish a joint laboratory for organic silicon resin. Both parties rely on the research advantages of the Key Laboratory of Organic Silicon Chemistry and Materials Technology of Hangzhou Normal University, and combine Longsheng Sihai's technological accumulation in the fields of MQ resin and methyl silicone resin for mica board, striving to achieve breakthroughs in the localization of high-end silicone resin. Previously, the company had already established deep cooperation with universities through the second phase project, breaking the foreign technology monopoly and being awarded the title of "China Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Base for Organic Silicon Resin".
Talent echelon: "Dual mentor system" cultivates compound innovators
In addition to technological breakthroughs, both parties have also launched a "dual mentor system" talent training program, where enterprise engineers and university professors jointly guide graduate students, focusing on the synthesis of special silicone resins and the research and development of high-performance silicone materials. Through the implementation of the innovation driven strategy, Zaoyang City has promoted more than 50 enterprises to establish industry university research relationships with universities such as Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Wuhan University, introduced more than 1300 high skilled talents, transformed more than 60 high-tech projects, and was awarded the title of "Top 100 Counties and Cities in National Science and Technology Innovation".
Technology Forum: Leading edge achievements guide industry direction
On June 19th, the "2025 Third Organic Silicon Technology and Application Innovation Forum" was held in Shanghai, with more than 200 experts focusing on industrial integration and new technology applications. ZTE experts reveal the localization path of thermal conductive materials for 5G base stations; Silicon Treasure Technology showcases the innovative application of organic silicon materials in the display field; Zhejiang University team shares the research and development progress of fluorine/silicon materials in electronic products. The "Organic Silicon Industry Yearbook (2025 Edition)" released by the forum shows that the industry is transitioning from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing", and the market size is expected to exceed one trillion yuan by 2025.
Capital and Policy: Dual Support to Accelerate Industrial Upgrading
On the capital market, organic silicon concept stocks have shown active performance. Enterprises such as Sanyou Chemical and Dongyue Silicon Materials have enhanced their competitiveness through production expansion and technological transformation. Among them, Sanyou Chemical's organic silicon monomer production capacity has reached 800000 tons per year, ranking among the top in the industry. At the policy level, Hubei Province has announced the first batch of 37 qualified chemical industrial parks for review and certification, providing a carrier for the landing of organic silicon projects; The National Development and Reform Commission and other departments jointly released the first batch of national level zero carbon park construction lists to promote the green transformation of the industry.
Future trend: Emerging fields drive long-term growth
Industry experts point out that with the increasing penetration of room temperature and high-temperature adhesives in the new energy market, as well as the expansion of liquid adhesives and silicone resins in new application scenarios, the demand for organic silicon industry will continue to be strong. It is expected that by 2030, the global market size of organosilicon will reach 200 billion US dollars, and China, with its complete industrial chain layout and technological innovation advantages, is expected to occupy more than 40% of the global market share.
