Recently, the world's first 10000 ton bio based silicone rubber production line was officially put into operation in Shandong, marking the complete liberation of the organic silicon industry from dependence on petroleum raw materials and entering the "bio based era".
Breakthrough in bio based technology, cost approaching traditional route
This production line adopts the rice husk to high activity silane technology developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which replaces petroleum based methanol through biomass resource conversion. This not only reduces carbon emissions but also brings production costs closer to traditional petroleum based routes. Hesheng Silicon Industry, together with chemical giants, is laying out sugarcane based methanol projects in Brazil, further solving the problem of "methanol metal silicon" price linkage and providing sustainable raw material solutions for the industry.
Policies force technological upgrades, circular economy becomes a new track
According to the "Action Plan for High Quality Development of New Materials Industry in the 15th Five Year Plan" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the energy consumption of newly built organic silicon monomer units should be 20% lower than the industry average, and fluidized bed reactors should be promoted to replace traditional fixed bed technologies. Dongyue Group has achieved a 34% reduction in energy consumption by upgrading its path using the chloromethane method through the "Low Carbon Process Route Selection Model" developed by Zhongyan Puhua. At the same time, the mandatory recycling policy in the construction industry has been implemented, and Guangzhou has piloted a "trade in" recycling system. The performance of recycled silicone rubber reaches 95% of raw materials, giving rise to a new business model of "urban mining".
Downstream applications erupt, high-end market card battle upgrades
In the field of new energy, the production capacity of photovoltaic packaging adhesive has increased by 300% in two years, and leading enterprises have built vertical moats through their own metal silicon smelting plants. The application of medical grade liquid silicone (LSR) in insulin pumps has grown by 500%, and Zhongyan Puhua predicts that the barriers to medical device certification will collapse within five years. In addition, the biodegradable silicone rubber vascular stent has entered the clinical stage, giving rise to a market worth billions of dollars for implant materials; The commercialization of shape memory silicone rubber artificial muscles is accelerating, providing core material support for the robotics industry.
