On October 16, 2025, the 8th China Fluorosilicon Industry Green Development Conference was held in Yongxiu County, Jiangxi Province, attracting more than 500 fluorosilicon enterprises, research institutes, and investment institutions from across the country. As the most complete base of the domestic organic silicon industry chain, Yongxiu County has signed 36 organic silicon projects on site, with a total investment of over 20 billion yuan, covering high-end fields such as new energy materials, electronic packaging, and biomedicine, marking the county's acceleration towards the goal of becoming a "global organic silicon innovation highland".


Industrial Ecology: From Agglomeration to Fission
Yongxiu County, relying on leading enterprises such as Xinghuo Organic Silicon, has formed a complete industrial chain of "silicon block monomer intermediate downstream products", gathering more than 170 upstream and downstream enterprises, developing more than 1300 products, and achieving an industrial correlation of 70%. To overcome technological bottlenecks, the local government has established five major public service platforms, including a silicone pilot base, a provincial-level testing center, and an "industrial brain" digital system, and set up a 30 million yuan innovation incentive fund to provide up to 30% subsidies for key technology research projects. For example, Jiangxi United Chemical Co., Ltd. has developed a new high-temperature adhesive product in collaboration with Wuhan University of Technology through the "unveiling and leading" mechanism, successfully replacing imported materials and applying it to the sealing of new energy vehicle battery packs, with an annual output value exceeding 500 million yuan.


Green Transformation: From Scale to Value
Faced with the challenge of global chemical overcapacity, Yongxiu County regards "low-carbon" as the core direction of industrial upgrading. The "White Paper on Green Development of Organic Silicon Industry" released during the conference shows that local enterprises have reduced energy consumption per unit product by 18% compared to five years ago through technological transformation, and the wastewater recycling rate has increased to 92%. For example, the technical renovation project completed by Yunneng Silicon Materials Qujing Branch achieved an annual reduction of 12000 tons of carbon emissions by optimizing the tank material storage system. At the same time, the industry is accelerating its penetration into the field of new energy, such as the low-density organic silicon materials developed by Hesheng Silicon Industry, which have been widely applied in lithium battery separator coating, significantly improving battery safety.


Global Perspective: From Regional to International
During the conference, Yongxiu County reached multiple cooperation intentions with multinational companies such as Wacker from Germany and Dow from the United States, planning to jointly build a multinational joint laboratory to focus on cutting-edge technologies such as immersion coolant and biobased silicon materials. According to statistics, the export value of Yongxiu organic silicon products will increase by 41% year-on-year in 2025, covering more than 60 countries and regions worldwide.
