In December 2025, Yongxiu County in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, will become a benchmark for upgrading the national organic silicon industry with the integration of "industry university research application" ecology. Relying on abundant salt resources and a complete industrial chain foundation, Yongxiu County promotes the development of the organic silicon industry towards high-end, intelligent, and green development through policy support, platform construction, and talent introduction.


Empowering innovation platforms and accelerating technological breakthroughs
Yongxiu County invested 40 million yuan to build Jiangxi Province's organic silicon "industrial brain", integrating industrial operating systems and industrial apps to achieve real-time monitoring of production data and optimized allocation of industrial chain resources. For example, Maihao Organic Silicon has reduced equipment failure rates by 40% and increased production efficiency by 25% through this platform. At the same time, the county government and the Quzhou Research Institute of Zhejiang University have jointly established a joint laboratory to overcome bottleneck technologies such as high-end fluorinated chemicals and electronic grade silicone. Currently, 127 patent achievements have been incubated, of which 3 have reached the international leading level.


Project cluster landing, collaborative upgrading of industrial chain
The first phase of the Jinhai 100 billion level fluorosilicon new material project with a total investment of 30 billion yuan will be put into operation in early 2026, covering high-end product lines such as fourth generation refrigerants and aerospace insulation materials. After completion, the annual output value will exceed 100 billion yuan. In addition, Xinghuo Industrial Park gathers enterprises such as Jiangxi Xingzemei and Rongxin Technology, forming a complete closed loop from metal silicon smelting to terminal products. Its market share in sub sectors such as medical grade silicone and electronic packaging materials ranks among the top three in the country.


Dual driven by policy and funding, highlighting ecological advantages
Jiujiang City has established a 10 billion yuan Industrial Investment Guidance Fund, focusing on supporting the technological transformation and mergers and acquisitions of organic silicon enterprises. Yongxiu County has launched 30 new talent policies, introduced 2 academician teams and 40 high-level technical talents, and carried out joint research and development with universities such as East China University of Science and Technology. In the first three quarters of 2025, the R&D investment of large-scale organic silicon enterprises in the county increased by 38% year-on-year, the number of high-tech enterprises reached 80, and the energy consumption per unit output value decreased by 15%.


Enhancing international influence and gathering global resources
Yongxiu County has held the China Fluorosilicon Industry Green Development Conference for eight consecutive years, attracting international giants such as Dow Chemical and Shinetsu Chemical to establish research and development centers. In October 2025, at the 21st Organic Silicon Academic Exchange Conference, top experts from around the world conducted discussions on cutting-edge fields such as wearable electronic skin and self-healing organic silicon materials, and promoted the signing of 12 international cooperation projects. At present, Yongxiu's organic silicon products are exported to 37 countries and regions, and its international market share has increased to 12%.


Industry insiders point out that the Yongxiu model provides a replicable path for the transformation of traditional chemical industrial parks, and its four chain integrated ecology of "innovation chain, industry chain, capital chain, and talent chain" is helping China's organic silicon industry climb to a higher position in the global value chain.
