On December 22nd, the mixed ownership reform fund supported Shanghai Silicon Industry Group's acquisition of its subsidiary Xinsheng Jingrui Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. through equity swap, marking a key progress in the strategic layout of state-owned capital in the semiconductor core materials field. Xinsheng Jingrui focuses on the process of pulling 300mm semiconductor silicon wafers. This acquisition will accelerate its technological integration with enterprises within the Shanghai silicon industry system, achieve a closed loop of the entire industry chain of "pulling, cutting, grinding, polishing, and epitaxy", and promote the increase of domestic 300mm silicon wafer market share. Analysis suggests that this move not only improves the supply system of full-size and full category semiconductor silicon wafers, but also provides strong guarantees for the security of China's integrated circuit industry supply chain.


The demand for lithium battery materials is exploding, and enterprises are expanding production and conducting technological research and development in parallel
In the field of new energy, the demand for organic silicon materials continues to be strong. On December 17th, Huitian New Materials announced plans to invest 97.68 million yuan in a new lithium battery negative electrode adhesive project to meet the urgent market demand for high-performance lithium battery materials. At the same time, Chengdu Silicon Treasure Technology has made breakthroughs in the development of low-density organic silicon materials for lithium batteries, and its products have been applied to multiple leading battery companies. On the technical level, the organic silicon pervaporation membrane developed by Wuhan University has shown excellent performance in the separation of low concentration organic compounds, while Nanjing University is exploring innovative applications of organic silicon materials in the biomedical field, opening up new growth points for the industry.


Leading patent layout, highlighting enterprise innovation strength
According to the "2024 Organic Silicon Patent Analysis Report" released by the China Fluorosilicon Organic Materials Industry Association, domestic enterprises rank among the top in the world in terms of the number of patents in key technology fields such as high-performance polydimethylsiloxane containing dynamic bonds and self catalytic dealcoholization silane coupling agents. Among them, the research and development achievements of universities and enterprises such as Beijing University of Chemical Technology and Wanhua Chemical have been industrialized, significantly enhancing the market competitiveness of domestic organic silicon materials.


The industry reshuffle is accelerating, and small and medium-sized enterprises are facing survival challenges
While leading enterprises are accelerating their expansion, the survival pressure on small and medium-sized enterprises is intensifying. On June 30th, Jiangshan Baode Organic Silicon Co., Ltd. was declared bankrupt by the court due to insolvency, with a total debt of over 500000 yuan. Industry insiders point out that in the current market environment, enterprises need to enhance their core competitiveness through technological innovation, cost control, and differentiated competition, otherwise it will be difficult to cope with the wave of industry integration.
