On December 23, 2025, in the Zaoyang Chemical Industrial Park in Hubei Province, Hubei Longsheng Sihai New Materials Co., Ltd. and the School of Materials and Chemical Engineering at Hangzhou Normal University officially signed a cooperation agreement between industry, academia and research, announcing the establishment of a "Organic Silicon Resin Joint Laboratory". This is another deep integration between the two parties in the fields of technological research and talent cultivation, following the cooperation of the second phase project in 2024.


Technological breakthrough: Targeting the bottleneck of silicone resin
The joint laboratory will focus on the research and development of high-performance silicone resin, with a particular emphasis on tackling the localization challenges of key materials such as MQ resin and methyl silicone resin. Yang Jun, Chairman of Hubei Longsheng Sihai, introduced that the company's independently developed organic silicone adhesive for mica tape has broken the foreign monopoly, with a domestic market share of 65%, but high-end electronic grade silicone resin still relies on imports. Through joint research and development with the Hangzhou Normal University team, we plan to achieve the conversion of 10 core patents within 3 years and promote product performance to reach the international leading level


Talent cultivation: dual mentorship system to create an innovative team
According to the agreement, both parties will implement a "dual mentorship" talent training program, with professors from Hangzhou Normal University and senior engineers from enterprises jointly guiding graduate students, and establish the "Longsheng Four Seas Scholarship" to encourage young scholars to participate in industrial practice. Lai Guocan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Materials and Chemical Engineering at Hangzhou Normal University, said, "The college has accumulated more than 30 years of experience in the field of special silicone resin synthesis. This cooperation will directly connect laboratory results to production lines, accelerating the transformation of scientific research achievements from 'bookshelves' to' shelves'


Collaboration between government and enterprises: Zaoyang builds a highland for the organic silicon industry
As a key industry cluster with a scale of billions cultivated in Hubei Province, Zaoyang City has attracted more than 50 enterprises to establish cooperative relationships with universities such as Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Wuhan University.
