In December 2024, Jiangxi Kerui New Materials Co., Ltd.'s "Annual Production of 12900 Tons of Organic Silicon Series Products such as Daily Chemical Silicone Oil" project passed the completion environmental protection acceptance, marking the official landing of this project that has lasted for several years. The project is located in the Changjiu Industrial Corridor of Jiangxi Province, covering an area of 24424 square meters. It mainly produces high-tech threshold products such as hexamethyldisiloxane and heptamethyltrisiloxane, with an expected annual production scale of 10900 tons, becoming an important link in the organic silicon industry chain in Jiangxi Province.


The project process was full of challenges: in 2015, Ke Rui Company launched an environmental assessment for the dimethyl silicone oil project, but it was put on hold due to fire separation distance issues; After revising the environmental protection report in 2022 and obtaining approval from the Ecological Environment Bureau, the infrastructure construction and the construction of new workshops and warehouses will be completed in 2023. The project adopts modern equipment and technology, which not only improves production efficiency but also reduces environmental impact. For example, by optimizing distillation processes to reduce energy consumption and utilizing exhaust gas treatment systems to achieve VOCs emissions reduction, its environmental practices have set a benchmark for the industry.


As a key raw material in the fields of skincare and hair care, the market demand for daily chemical silicone oil continues to grow. The project leader of Ke Rui stated that the company has achieved international advanced levels in product purity and stability through cooperation with research institutes, and some products have entered the supply chain of multinational enterprises. After the completion of the project, Jiangxi Kerui will further extend the industrial chain, develop silicone oil derivatives and special silicone materials, and help the region form a complete ecosystem of "basic silicone oil deep processing products terminal applications".


Industry analysts point out that with the surge in demand for organic silicon materials in emerging fields such as new energy vehicles, photovoltaics, and 5G communications, China's organic silicon production capacity will account for 77% of the world's by 2025, but high-end products still rely on imports. The technological breakthroughs of companies such as Jiangxi Kerui and Zhejiang Tiansi indicate that China's organic silicon industry is shifting from "scale expansion" to "quality priority". According to monitoring by the Purchasing and Plastics Research Institute, the price of organic silicon DMC will stabilize and rebound to 13625 yuan/ton in December 2025, an increase of 3.61% from the beginning of the year. The supply and demand pattern in the industry continues to optimize, and it is expected that the gap will expand to 110000 tons by 2026, providing a broad market space for high-end silicone oil enterprises.
