On January 12, 2026, heavy news came from the Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone in Xinjiang: its subsidiary group's annual production of 1.6 million tons of organic silicon project has entered the equipment installation sprint stage and is expected to be fully put into operation by the end of 2026. This "super project" with a total investment of over 20 billion yuan not only breaks the global record for organic silicon monomer production capacity, but also injects strong momentum into the upgrading of China's new material industry through the closed-loop design of the entire industry chain of "quartz ore industrial silicon organic silicon high-end materials".

Technological breakthrough: the world's largest single device production capacity
The core equipment of the project adopts internationally leading technology, with an annual production capacity of 500000 tons for the monomer synthesis unit. The diameter of the distillation tower exceeds 8 meters, and the efficiency of the hydrolysis reactor and methylchlorosilane synthesis reactor has increased by 15% compared to industry standards. The CEO of Qiya Group revealed that through the coupling of AI production control system and green electricity technology, the comprehensive energy consumption of the project has been reduced by 15% compared to the industry average. After production, it can fill the 30% production capacity gap of high-end silicone products in China, directly driving downstream output value of over 20 billion yuan.

Industrial synergy: full chain innovation from resources to markets
Relying on the abundant quartz mineral resources and advantages of self owned power plants in Xinjiang, the project vertically integrates upstream links such as industrial silicon, methanol, and polycrystalline silicon, and horizontally expands into high value-added fields such as photovoltaic packaging materials, electronic grade silicone resin, and medical silicone. At present, the project has established a joint laboratory with the Institute of Silicon Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences, obtained 12 core patent authorizations, and reached strategic cooperation with leading enterprises such as Longi Green Energy and CATL. The products will be directly supplied to the 100GW photovoltaic project planned in Xinjiang during the 14th Five Year Plan period.

Strategic significance: Increase global market share to 45%
According to industry data, by 2025, China's organic silicon production capacity will account for 77% of the world's total, but high-end products will rely on imports for a long time. After its sub project is put into operation, China's global market share of organic silicon will jump from 35% to 45%, helping Xinjiang build the world's first "silicon-based full industry chain+zero carbon energy" industrial cluster worth billions of yuan. Experts point out that this project will not only reshape the global organic silicon industry pattern, but also provide key material support for China's new energy, aerospace and other fields, promoting the transition from "Made in China" to "Intelligent Manufacturing in China".
