The Asia Group's annual production of 1.6 million tons of organic silicon project, which was launched in April 2025, has recently received new progress. As the world's largest single unit scale organic silicon project, this project relies on the resource advantages of quartz mine, industrial silicon, methanol and other resources in Xinjiang Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone, and forms a fully silicon-based industrial chain loop of "quartz mine industrial silicon organic silicon high-end materials" through vertical integration. The core process of the project adopts internationally leading technology, and is equipped with the world's largest single synthesis unit (with a single production capacity of 500000 tons/year), the largest distillation tower (with a diameter of 8 meters), and a methylchlorosilane synthesis reactor, achieving dual improvements in raw material conversion rate and production efficiency, and reducing comprehensive energy consumption by 15% compared to industry standards.


According to the project leader, the project is planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2026, which can drive downstream output value of over 20 billion yuan and fill the 30% production capacity gap of high-end silicone products in China. Its products will target high value-added fields such as photovoltaic packaging materials, electronic grade silicone resin, and medical silicone, helping to upgrade China's new materials industry. The CEO of the group stated, "Through the three-dimensional innovation of resources, technology, and market, we are transforming from a traditional resource-based enterprise to a new material solution provider. This project will drive the global market share of Chinese organic silicon to increase from 35% to 45%


The technological innovation and green development concept of the project have attracted much attention. Qiya Group and the Institute of Silicon Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences have jointly established a joint laboratory, which has obtained 12 core patent authorizations and integrated AI production control systems and green electricity coupling processes, creating the world's first "silicon-based full industry chain+zero carbon energy" new material industry cluster worth billions of yuan. After the completion of the project, the Zhundong base will provide key material support for China's new energy, aerospace and other fields, alleviating the dependence on imported high-end organic silicon products.


At the same time, the pace of cluster development in the domestic organic silicon industry is accelerating. Yongxiu County in Jiangxi Province is promoting the digital transformation of the industrial chain by building an organic silicon "industrial brain". The platform adopts an industrial operating system+industrial APP mode, which collects production data in real time, optimizes equipment scheduling, and improves the collaborative efficiency of the industrial chain. For example, Maihao Organic Silicon utilizes the "industrial brain" to predict equipment failures and reduce downtime; The industry chain data sharing platform helps enterprises arrange inventory reasonably based on upstream and downstream production situations, avoiding resource waste. At present, the organic silicon industry in Yongxiu County is accelerating its development towards high-end, intelligent, and green directions, attracting more high-quality enterprises to settle in and forming an industrial agglomeration effect.
