On March 23, 2026, Shenzhen - Recently, Shenzhen Debang Interface Materials Co., Ltd. announced the successful development of a new type of thermal conductive silicone grease for aerospace electronic equipment, in which ethyl silicone oil is a key component, providing an innovative solution for efficient heat dissipation of spacecraft in extreme space environments.


This thermal grease is composed of ethyl silicone oil, phenyl silicone oil, modified silicone oil, and zinc oxide with a viscosity of 50-1000 mPa · s, compounded in specific proportions. Among them, ethyl silicone oil, with its excellent low-temperature resistance, lubricity, and chemical stability, can maintain stable thermal conductivity in low-temperature environments, effectively solving the problem of performance degradation of traditional thermal conductive materials at extreme temperatures in space.


According to the technical director of Shenzhen Debang Interface Materials, the research and development of this thermal conductive silicone grease took two years, and after hundreds of experiments to optimize the formula, it finally achieved breakthroughs in thermal conductivity, viscosity, and working temperature range. Experimental data shows that the material has a stable thermal conductivity of over 2.5 W/(m · K) in a wide temperature range of -70 ℃ to 150 ℃, which can meet the long-term stable operation requirements of aerospace electronic equipment.


At present, the thermal grease has passed multiple rigorous tests by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and obtained the first batch of orders. It will be applied in the thermal control system of the new generation of communication satellites and deep space probes. Industry experts say that the expansion of the application of ethyl silicone oil in the aerospace field not only reflects the progress of China's organic silicon material technology, but also provides a new technological path for global spacecraft thermal management.
