On January 31, 2026, Shenzhen Debang Interface Materials Co., Ltd. officially applied for a patent for "Thermal Conductive Silicone Resin and Its Preparation Method for Aerospace Electronic Equipment". One of its core components is ethyl silicone oil (viscosity 50-1000 mPa · s, dosage 3-8 parts), combined with phenyl silicone oil, modified silicone oil, and nanoscale zinc oxide, aiming to provide efficient heat dissipation solutions for electronic equipment in extreme space environments.


Ethyl silicone oil (CAS number 63148-61-8, chemical name polydiethylsiloxane) was selected due to its excellent physical and chemical properties: the working temperature range covers -60 ° C to 150 ° C, the flash point exceeds 265 ° C (open cup), the vapor pressure is extremely low (only 0.532mmHg at 25 ° C), the volatility is low, the surface tension is low, and it can be freely miscible with mineral oils and fats. Compared to dimethyl silicone oil, ethyl silicone oil has more outstanding low-temperature resistance and lubrication performance, making it an ideal base oil for aerospace grade thermal conductive materials.
