The low ring vinyl silicone oil independently developed by Yunneng Silicon Materials, a subsidiary of Yunnan Energy Investment Group, has been successfully mass-produced and fully put into the market on June 30, 2025, with an annual production capacity of 5000 tons. At the same time, the iterative upgrade of thin-film short-range molecular distillation equipment is strictly controlling the volatile content of vinyl silicone oil within 0.1%, and improving production efficiency by more than 30%.

The high ring content in traditional vinyl silicone oil not only requires energy consuming secondary vulcanization processes, but also its volatility affects downstream product performance, making it difficult to meet environmental regulations such as EU REACH and RoHS. The 6-person R&D team of Yunneng Silicon Qujing Branch has gone through hundreds of catalyst screenings and thousands of rounds of polymerization process parameter tuning, ultimately achieving full process automatic and precise control, and stable output of high-end low viscosity and low volatility ethylene based silicone oil.
The short-range molecular distillation complete set equipment launched by Wuxi Rongyu Intelligent Equipment has pushed this standard to a new height - intelligent control of the entire process from feeding to discharging, with highly consistent product quality for each batch.
Ethyl silicone oil: the next main battlefield for deep processing?
The breakthrough in purification technology of vinyl silicone oil provides a direct technical path for the high-end upgrade of ethyl silicone oil. Ethyl silicone oil (CAS: 63148-61-8) itself has excellent low-temperature performance, chemical stability, and unique advantages of complete miscibility with mineral oil. However, due to production process limitations for a long time, high-end products still rely on imports.

With the dual iteration of purification technology and production equipment, the domestic substitution process of ethyl silicone oil is expected to accelerate significantly.
Clear market prospects
According to a survey by Beizhesi Consulting, the global market size of ethyl hydrogen silicone oil has reached 1.092 billion yuan in 2024, with the Chinese market reaching 274 million yuan. Driven by the explosion of liquid cooling technology and the surge in demand for aerospace heat dissipation, listed companies such as New Yaqiang (603155. SH) have clearly stated that their phenyl silicone oil and vinyl silicone oil products can be applied in the field of liquid cooling silicone oil. The strategic value of ethyl silicone oil as a core basic material is being re priced by the capital market.
From the mass production of 5000 tons of vinyl silicone oil to the expansion of the billion yuan level ethyl silicone oil market, the "money" scene of deep processing of silicone oil is moving from scale to high-end.
