Based on historical growth trends and downstream demand drivers, it is expected that the global market size of ethyl silicone oil will climb to 1.865 billion yuan by 2030, with a steady compound annual growth rate.


Ethyl silicone oil (CAS number 63148-61-8), chemical name polydiethylsiloxane, is a colorless to light yellow transparent viscous liquid with a flash point exceeding 265 ℃ (open cup) and a working temperature range covering -60 ℃ to+150 ℃. It has outstanding characteristics such as low viscosity with temperature change, low vapor pressure, low surface tension, and high compressibility. More importantly, it can be miscible with mineral oil in any proportion, which has attracted much attention in the lubrication industry.

It is worth noting that in January 2026, Shenzhen Debon Interface Materials applied for a patent for thermal conductive silicone grease for aerospace electronic equipment, which explicitly uses ethyl silicone oil with a viscosity of 50-1000 mPa · s as the core component, targeting the heat dissipation needs in extreme space environments. This marks the accelerated transition of ethyl silicone oil from traditional lubrication demolding to aerospace grade high-performance materials.


Industry insiders point out that with the rapid development of liquid cooling technology, new energy vehicles, and high-end manufacturing, the strategic value of ethyl silicone oil will be further highlighted, and there is a vast space for domestic substitution.
