Ethyl silicone oil is accelerating its penetration from its traditional role as a mold release agent and instrument oil into cutting-edge fields such as liquid cooling and aerospace thermal conductivity, and its market size continues to climb.
According to research data from Bezos Consulting, the market size of ethyl silicone oil in China will reach 274 million yuan in 2024, with a global market size of 1.092 billion yuan. It is expected that the global market size will climb to 1.865 billion yuan by 2030. From the perspective of terminal applications, healthcare, automotive, aerospace, personal care, and other fields are all important growth poles.
It is worth noting that the explosion of liquid cooling technology is opening up a new track for ethyl silicone oil. In May 2026, the listed company New Yaqiang (603155. SH) clearly stated on the investor interaction platform that its phenyl silicone oil, vinyl silicone oil and other products can be applied in the field of liquid cooled silicone oil, and is actively conducting research and development of liquid cooled products. At the same time, in the thermal conductive silicone grease patent for aerospace electronic equipment applied for by Shenzhen Debon Interface Materials in January 2026, ethyl silicone oil is used as the core component (viscosity 50-1000 mPa · s, accounting for 3-8 parts), directly targeting the heat dissipation needs in extreme space environments.
On the supply side, a cluster of ethyl silicone oil industry has been formed in Hubei Province, China. Enterprises such as Hubei Fangde New Materials, Hubei Jusheng Technology, and Hubei Xinkang Pharmaceutical and Chemical have large-scale supply, with product purity of 99% and a price range of about 20-100 yuan/kg. High tech enterprises such as Xinyuan Chemical (Shandong) have made breakthroughs in the preparation of ultra-low temperature resistant ethyl silicone oil and fluorinated silicone oil, and have obtained 20 national invention patents.
From polar scientific research at -130 ℃ to liquid cooling and heat dissipation in data centers, ethyl silicone oil is achieving a strategic transition from traditional industrial lubricants to high-end specialty materials with its core advantages of "ultra purity, low volatility, and high stability".
