Recently, good news came from the Fine Chemical New Materials Industrial Park located in Bengbu, Anhui. A high-purity ethyl silicone oil production line with an annual capacity of over 10000 tons has been officially put into operation. This project focuses on the domestic production of electronic grade, low-temperature resistant ethyl silicone oil, with a product purity of over 99%. It can be widely used in high-end scenarios such as semiconductor packaging, precision instrument damping fluid, aerospace low-temperature lubrication, etc., breaking the previous market pattern of some high-end ethyl silicone oil products relying on imports for a long time.


According to the person in charge of the project, the production line put into production this time adopts the self-developed low-temperature telomerization process. The produced ethyl silicone oil gel has a point as low as -70 ℃ and a working temperature range of -70 ℃ to 150 ℃. At the same time, it retains the core characteristics of ethyl silicone oil, such as low surface tension, strong chemical stability, and excellent dielectric performance. It can be directly used as electrical insulation materials and special heat conduction media. After the project is implemented, it will collaborate with local and surrounding electronic manufacturing and high-end equipment enterprises in Bengbu to build a complete industrial chain from basic raw materials to terminal applications, which is expected to drive the output value of related industries in the region to exceed one billion yuan.


Industry insiders have stated that as the market demand for 5G devices, IoT sensors, and special equipment in high-altitude regions continues to rise, the market gap for ethyl silicone oil, which combines low temperature resistance and high insulation properties, continues to widen. The landing of the Bengbu mass production line not only fills the industrial gap of high-end silicone materials in northern Anhui, but also promotes the upgrading of the domestic ethyl silicone oil industry from "mid to low-end mass production" to "high value-added customization", providing strong support for the independent and controllable development of the domestic new materials industry.
