Recently, the news of technological breakthrough in the field of silicone materials in China came that several leading chemical enterprises had jointly completed the formulation optimization and mass production of a new generation of high-purity ethyl silicone oil. The new product stabilized the gel point below -70 ℃, and the long-term operating temperature range covered -70 ℃ to 150 ℃. The low-temperature lubrication performance of the new product was improved by more than 30% compared with the traditional product, which can perfectly meet the lubrication requirements of precision parts in the aerospace field under extreme low temperature environment.
It is reported that the upgraded ethyl silicone oil product maintains its original advantages of low surface tension, excellent dielectric properties, and chemical stability. At the same time, it further optimizes its solubility with mineral oil and synthetic oil, and can be directly formulated into aviation shock absorber fluid and aerospace electronic equipment thermal grease components, solving the industry pain points of ordinary lubricating oil solidification and lubrication failure in high-altitude and low-temperature environments. At present, the product has passed performance tests by multiple aviation supporting enterprises and will soon be mass-produced for core components such as airborne precision instruments and aerospace sensor damping systems.
Industry data shows that the market demand for low-temperature resistant ethyl silicone oil in China will increase by over 27% year-on-year in 2026. With the continuous rise in demand for extreme working condition materials in the new energy and high-end manufacturing fields, ethyl silicone oil with wide temperature range characteristics is rapidly expanding from traditional precision instrument lubrication and rubber demolding scenarios to high-end fields such as aerospace and deep-sea exploration, becoming one of the key basic materials supporting the reliability of core components of high-end equipment in China.
