On August 12, 2026, several organic silicon production enterprises in Tianmen, Hubei jointly announced that high viscosity ethyl silicone oil (polydiethylsiloxane) has achieved stable mass production, with product viscosity covering the range of 10000-100000mPa · s, flash point exceeding 250 ℃, heavy metal content controlled within 10ppm, and overall performance indicators reaching the leading level in the domestic industry.
According to the production company, the high viscosity ethyl silicone oil produced this time is a colorless or light yellow viscous liquid with excellent chemical stability. It can maintain stable performance for a long time in extreme wide temperature environments ranging from -70 ℃ to 150 ℃, perfectly adapting to the damping and lubrication needs of hydraulic systems and precision instruments in extremely cold regions. Previously, this type of high viscosity special ethyl silicone oil relied on imports for a long time, with long supply cycles and high costs. After the implementation of domestic mass production, not only can standardized products with complete quality inspection reports and user manuals be provided, but professional technical personnel can also provide full application guidance. At the same time, formal professional invoices can be issued, greatly reducing the procurement and use threshold for downstream enterprises.
At present, the first batch of mass-produced products have been sent to aerospace supporting and mining machinery manufacturing enterprises in extremely cold regions such as Northeast and Northwest China. In the future, they will gradually expand to more industrial scenarios such as transformer packaging and high and low temperature oil tank media, further promoting the independent substitution process of domestic special organic silicon materials.
