Analysis of the Production Process of Ethyl Silicone Oil: Precise Control from Raw Materials to Finished Products

Hits: 920 img

The production of ethyl silicone oil is a complex process involving multiple chemical reactions and precise control. At present, the mainstream production processes include direct method and Grignard one-step method.

The direct method uses silicon powder and chloroethane as raw materials to prepare ethylchlorosilane mixed monomers under the action of a catalyst, and then separates and purifies them to obtain high-purity ethylchlorosilane. Subsequently, diethyl dichlorosilane and triethylchlorosilane were co hydrolyzed and condensed, and molecular rearrangement was carried out under the action of a specific catalyst to ultimately produce ethyl silicone oil. This process route is mature and stable, with high product yield, but high raw material costs.

The Grignard one-step method uses toluene as a solvent to react ethylchlorosilane, ethyl orthosilicate, chloroethane, and magnesium shavings in different ratios to synthesize ethylethoxysilane. Ethyl silicone oil can be prepared by hydrolysis condensation and molecular rearrangement treatment. This process route has simple steps and high utilization of raw materials, but requires extremely strict control of reaction conditions.

Regardless of the process used, the production of ethyl silicone oil requires strict control of key factors such as raw material quality, reaction time, and catalyst selection. Only through precise control can product performance be ensured to be stable and reliable, meeting the application needs of different fields.
