Recently, several leading domestic rubber product companies have announced the large-scale application of ethyl silicone oil as a core plasticizer in the production of high-end products such as conductive silicone rubber and special sealing rubber. Through material formula optimization, the flexibility, low temperature resistance, and processing efficiency of rubber products have been effectively improved, breaking the previous monopoly of high-end special rubber plasticizers by overseas products.


As an important category of organic silicone plasticizers, ethyl silicone oil, with its non-toxic, non corrosive, low volatility, and excellent chemical stability, can effectively weaken the aggregation force between rubber molecular chains, reduce the glass transition temperature and elastic modulus of rubber, improve product plasticity, and significantly improve the compatibility between rubber and fillers, greatly reducing the difficulty of cutting, mixing, and other processing steps. Previous application test data showed that adding an appropriate amount of ethyl silicone oil in the production of conductive silicone rubber can increase the elongation at break of the vulcanized rubber by more than 30%, while the product can still maintain stable elastic performance in extreme environments of -60 ℃.


At present, this type of modified rubber product has been widely used in new energy vehicle seals, aerospace low-temperature components, precision instrument damping components and other scenarios. Downstream market feedback shows that rubber products modified with ethyl silicone oil have a longer service life than traditional formula products by more than 40%, and fully comply with the latest domestic environmental material safety standards. Industry experts have stated that with the continuous improvement of material performance requirements in the downstream high-end manufacturing field, ethyl silicone oil, which combines high performance and environmental protection properties, will be used as a substitute in more special material scenarios in the future and become one of the key supporting raw materials to support the upgrading of the domestic new material industry.
