Recently, the organic silicon new material production base located in Bengbu, Anhui Province announced the completion of the continuous production process transformation of ethyl silicone oil and its official operation, marking a dual breakthrough in production efficiency and product quality in the domestic ethyl silicone oil industry. The base relies on the advantages of the local organic silicon industry cluster and introduces a new and efficient catalyst system to replace the traditional intermittent production mode, improving the selectivity of polymerization reactions to over 98% while significantly reducing energy consumption and pollutant emissions during the production process.
According to the technical director of the production enterprise, the new production line put into operation this time can cover a full range of ethyl silicone oil products from low viscosity to ultra-high viscosity. The core indicators include a stable flash point of over 265 ℃ and a low temperature tolerance of below -80 ℃. The lubrication performance and low temperature resistance of some high-end grades have exceeded the international level of similar products. After the new production line is put into operation, the annual production capacity of the base will increase by 12000 tons, further consolidating its position as the top tier of domestic ethyl silicone oil production.
Industry data shows that the total production capacity of ethyl silicone oil in China has reached 62000 tons, accounting for 39.2% of the global total production capacity. The technological upgrade of the Bengbu base this time will effectively alleviate the long-term dependence on imported high viscosity ethyl silicone oil in China, and provide more stable local supply chain support for downstream fields such as electronics, new energy, and precision manufacturing. With the rapid development of emerging industries such as 5G communication and energy storage systems in China, it is expected that the demand for ethyl silicone oil in the domestic market will exceed 50000 tons by 2026, and the industry as a whole will maintain a compound annual growth rate of over 7%.
