In July 2026, there was new progress in industrial upgrading in Bengbu Fine Chemical Industry Park. Several ethyl silicone oil production enterprises in the area completed technological transformation, and the production capacity of low-temperature resistant ethyl silicone oil increased by 42% compared to the same period last year. The products can maintain lubrication and insulation performance in the temperature range of -70 ℃ to 150 ℃, breaking the previous market pattern of long-term dependence on imported high-end low-temperature ethyl silicone oil.
The low-temperature resistant ethyl silicone oil products produced this time have low surface tension and excellent chemical stability, and can be directly used as electronic and electrical insulation media, aerospace shock absorbers, and have received bulk orders from semiconductor packaging enterprises and new energy vehicle companies in the Yangtze River Delta region. According to the park operator, Bengbu has formed a complete industrial chain from basic raw material purification to special ethyl silicone oil modification, relying on the advantages of local organic silicon upstream and downstream supporting facilities. Currently, the number of ethyl silicone oil related suppliers in the park has exceeded 20, and the market average price of conventional low viscosity, cosmetic grade, and thermal conductive medium ethyl silicone oil products is about 8% lower than the national average level. The industrial agglomeration effect continues to be released.
Industry insiders have stated that as the demand for electronic insulation materials continues to rise in the 5G communication and new energy vehicle industries, the localized production of high-end ethyl silicone oil products in Bengbu will effectively reduce the procurement and logistics costs of downstream manufacturing enterprises, providing important support for the independent controllability of domestic organic silicon special materials.
