Recently, Anhui Mingyi Silicon Industry Co., Ltd., located in Anhui Province, officially announced the completion of the upgrade and commissioning of the high-purity ethyl silicone oil production line. The newly added production capacity can achieve an annual output of 1200 tons of polydiethylsiloxane products with a purity of over 98%. This is also the first dedicated production line in Anhui Province that focuses on the fine grading production of ethyl silicone oil, marking a key addition to the layout of organic silicon special materials in the Yangtze River Delta region.
According to the person in charge of the enterprise, the upgraded production line can cover multiple viscosity ranges of ethyl silicone oil products such as 2-4cSt, 7-12cSt, 15-20cSt, etc. The melting point of the products is stably controlled below -40 ℃, and the flash point remains above 80 ℃, fully meeting the usage standards of multiple scenarios such as electrical insulation oil, precision instrument oil, and special textile lubricants. Previously, the domestic production capacity of ethyl silicone oil was mainly concentrated in Hubei, Shandong and other places. Local downstream new energy vehicle electronics and precision instrument manufacturing enterprises in Anhui have long needed to transfer goods across regions. After the implementation of Anhui's production capacity, the delivery cycle for local customers can be compressed from the original 15 days to within 3 days, and logistics costs can be reduced by nearly 30%.
Industry data shows that the current domestic market for ethyl silicone oil is showing a polarized trend, with fierce competition in the general grade product market, while there is a long-term supply gap for high-purity and low residual ring type special ethyl silicone oil. The production line upgrade of Mingyi Silicon Industry has also introduced a full online purity detection system, which can control the residual ring in the product below 80ppm and adapt to more industrial scenarios with strict cleanliness requirements. Many local equipment manufacturing enterprises in Bengbu have signed intention to purchase agreements with the companies in advance. In the future, both parties will jointly develop specialized ethyl silicone oil products that are suitable for extreme low temperature environments, expanding the application space in the lubrication field of wind power equipment in high-altitude areas.
