On August 20, 2026, news reported that with the advancement of the domestic silicone material life cycle management system, the recycling, purification, and circular utilization industry of ethyl silicate oil has recently experienced significant development. A comprehensive industrial chain encompassing classification testing, refined purification, and customized resupply is taking shape, effectively reducing resource consumption and environmental burden in the sector.

Unlike ordinary methyl silicone oil, ethyl silicone oil exhibits minimal viscosity changes with temperature, a low freezing point, and excellent oxidation resistance, retaining high recycling value even after disposal. Leading domestic recycling enterprises have established standardized evaluation processes, where samples are tested to analyze key indicators such as viscosity, flash point, acid value, and impurity content of waste ethyl silicone oil, enabling precise determination of its recycling direction. This approach has fundamentally transformed the previous industry-wide "mixed collection and mixed processing" model.

It is understood that purified and recycled ethyl silicone oil can be reprocessed into various specifications such as damping fluids for instruments, grease thickening additives, and electrical insulation oils based on downstream demand. Some high-quality recycled products have performance close to that of new industrial-grade standards, reducing production costs by approximately 40% compared to new manufacturing while cutting carbon emissions by nearly 60%. With increasingly refined environmental standards for waste silicone oil recycling in China, over a hundred downstream industrial enterprises have joined the targeted recycling channel for ethyl silicone oil since 2026. The green circular model is emerging as a new growth driver for the ethyl silicone oil industry. Industry forecasts indicate that by 2027, domestic recycling rates for ethyl silicone oil are expected to exceed 35%, driving the entire sector toward deeper resource-intensive transformation.
