In August 2026, news emerged from the domestic silicone material market, indicating that the regional collaborative layout of China's ethyl silicone oil industry had taken shape. The production capacity of key production areas such as Hubei, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Shanghai accounted for over 90% of the national total, with the industry rapidly transitioning from decentralized production to clustered and standardized development.


According to industry research data, over 60 domestic enterprises have currently ventured into the ethyl silicone oil sector. Hubei region, leveraging its local chemical industry foundation, has gathered key manufacturers such as Hubei Grete and Hubei Jusheng Technology, establishing itself as China's largest industrial-grade ethyl silicone oil supply base. Shandong area, capitalizing on its fine chemical industry strengths, has formed production clusters comprising companies like Tai'an Shining Fine Chemical and Shandong Taicheng Biotechnology, specializing in high-viscosity ethyl silicone oil and specialty instrument oils. Meanwhile, enterprises in Shanghai and Jiangsu focus on research-grade and cosmetic-grade ethyl silicone oil products, covering the entire supply chain from small-scale 100g experimental reagents to 200kg industrial-grade bulk shipments.


With the sustained growth in demand from downstream sectors such as aerospace electronics, precision instruments, and new energy, the standardization process for ethyl silicone oil has significantly accelerated this year. Previously, Shenzhen Debong Interface Materials applied for a patent for thermal conductive silicone grease used in aerospace electronic equipment, which identified ethyl silicone oil as the core foundational component to meet the heat dissipation requirements of equipment in extreme space environments. This marks that the performance indicators of domestic ethyl silicone oil have reached the application standards of high-end specialty materials. Industry insiders noted that by 2026, the domestic ethyl silicone oil industry will gradually phase out small-scale unqualified workshops, with mainstream manufacturers' products generally maintaining a flash point of 265°C or higher, enabling stable operation in a wide temperature range of -60°C to 150°C. The improvement in product quality further opens up substitution opportunities for domestic ethyl silicone oil in high-end equipment sectors.
