In the first half of 2025, the domestic photovoltaic packaging adhesive production capacity will increase by 300% year-on-year, and the market size of thermal conductive silicone for lithium batteries will exceed 8 billion yuan, driving the performance of organic silicon deep processing enterprises to soar.
Photovoltaic field: iteration of encapsulation adhesive technology accelerates domestic substitution
In the photovoltaic industry, the popularity of double-sided modules and N-type cells places higher demands on the performance of packaging adhesives. Traditional EVA film is prone to yellowing and a decrease in light transmittance, while silicone encapsulation adhesive has become a new generation mainstream material due to its UV resistance and high temperature resistance. By 2025, domestic enterprises will break through the technological barriers of high-end packaging adhesives, achieving a product transmittance of 92% and a 50% increase in adhesive strength, fully replacing imported products.
According to statistics, in the first half of 2025, the domestic production of photovoltaic packaging adhesive will reach 450000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 280%. Among them, the low volatility encapsulation adhesive developed by a certain enterprise can reduce the PID attenuation rate of components from 3% to 0.5%, significantly improving power generation efficiency. At present, its products have been supplied to the top ten photovoltaic companies worldwide, with a market share of over 40%.
Lithium battery field: Demand for thermal conductive silicone increases sharply
In the lithium battery industry, the increase in energy density of power batteries leads to an increase in heat generation, and thermal conductive silicone has become a key material to ensure safety. By 2025, the domestic market size of thermal conductive silicone will reach 8.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 65%. Among them, liquid silica gel (LSR) has become the mainstream technology route due to its high infusion efficiency and adjustable thermal conductivity.
The LSR thermal conductive adhesive developed by a certain enterprise has a thermal conductivity coefficient of 3.5W/m · K, which is twice that of traditional materials and can meet the heat dissipation requirements of 800V high-voltage platforms. At present, its products have been applied to battery packs of multiple leading car companies, with the single vehicle usage increasing from 2kg to 5kg.
Semiconductor field: Accelerated import substitution of electronic grade silicone oil
In the semiconductor industry, electronic grade silicone oil is used for critical processes such as wafer cleaning and photoresist stripping, with extremely high technical barriers. In 2025, domestic enterprises will break through the preparation technology of high-purity silicone oil, and the metal ion content of the products will be less than 0.1ppb, reaching the international advanced level.
The silicone oil used in the etching solution developed by a certain enterprise in cooperation with a chip manufacturer can improve the uniformity of etching rate to 99.5% and increase the yield rate by 3 percentage points. At present, its products have entered TSMC's supply chain and are expected to exceed 2000 tons in sales by 2025.
