Recently, significant progress has been made in the field of special silicone materials in China. The new generation of high cold resistant ethyl silicone oil has completed full performance testing and officially entered the stage of mass application. This ethyl silicone oil achieves precise molecular structure control, stabilizing the freezing point of the product to below -85 ℃. It can maintain excellent lubrication and damping stability even in extremely cold environments, fully meeting the requirements for supporting polar scientific research equipment, high latitude wind power equipment, and precision instruments for deep space exploration.
According to industry testing data, the thermal decomposition temperature of this new type of ethyl silicone oil has been increased by 40 ℃ compared to traditional products. In long-term continuous working scenarios at 180 ℃, the annual volatilization loss rate is less than 0.3%. At the same time, the fluctuation of dielectric constant is controlled within 0.02, which can provide stable insulation protection for precision sensing equipment in a wide temperature range environment. Previously, the special ethyl silicone oil used in such extreme scenarios relied on overseas supply for a long time, with long delivery cycles and difficulty in customized adaptation. After the implementation of domestic technology, the material supply chain response speed of downstream equipment has increased by more than 6 times, and procurement costs have also been significantly reduced.
At present, this technological achievement has entered the stage of large-scale production, and the product can cover the full viscosity range from low viscosity to over 100000 MPa · s. The relevant performance indicators have passed the authoritative certification of the national extreme environment material testing center. It will gradually be promoted to more cutting-edge application scenarios such as low-temperature lubrication of transportation equipment in cold regions and damping systems of deep-sea exploration instruments, providing key material support for the independent upgrading of extreme environment equipment in China.
